Quick post while waiting for the girls at the supermarket and before heading out of civilisation again.
First day we headed up through Echuca and ended up for the night at Hattah Lakes NP. And what an artic night it was - frost covered covered the tent in the morning and the water lines and billy water had frozen! Hattah again has water in it and is looking good.
Day 2 and it was up through Mildura, Wentworth and then onto Menindee Lakes and a campsite to ourselves and even better a fire! A number of roads in the area are still closed the the road into Menindee had just opened and was an interesting, and muddy drive.
Next day checked out Kinchega woolshed and drove around the lakes, which have water in them for the first time in ages - water everywhere at the moment! Drove through to Broken Hill and Silverton to camp. Today we're aiming to get to Tibooburra and hopefully it will be a bit warmer.
Still unsure what roads and tracks are open after that so we'll plan the next couple of days once we get there. The plan is to head to Innamincka and then up to Birdsville.
Promise we'll have some photos next time.
Over and out - C, L, L & C

Funny we just missed each other in Echuca that day, we headed up the Murray Valley Highway to Gunbower Island, so crossed paths a few times that day!!!! :)
