Heading where?

Here's a rough plan of where we'll be heading. From Melb it's northwest to Mildura, then north to Broken Hill, Innamincka, Birdsville, Mt Isa and up to the Gulf, passing through Normanton and Croydon. Then it's east across to Cairns, and up to Cape York. Heading south the plan is to follow the coast to Brisbane and then high tail it for home. At a guess, 10,000 plus kms.
